I was finally able to do a proper SOTA activation. And by that, I mean one that was planned. This was on Three Corner Rock in SW Washington.
It was a perfect day. Upper 70’s, like breeze, clear blue skies. It doesn’t get any better.
I brought the KX3, Elk Log Periodic, and the Chameleon F-Loop that worked like a champ. My opinion is that it’s the perfect HF portable antenna. Small footprint, packs up small, not too heavy.
I had a great time. 18 contacts in total. 10 on VHF and 8 on 20 Meters. I was only able to log 14 because I was doing this video….
Here’s a video my friend WB7TIM did of our 2M SSB contact that day.
Thank you to all the chasers! Couldn’t have done it with out you.
